
What is the foundation?
The Dominican Flavors Foundation, a cultural gastronomic profile, is a non-profit organization whose objective is to motivate, create and implement initiatives to position, value and develop the Dominican gastronomic system with a view to positioning the country internationally in this field.
The Foundation arises from the union of Bolívar Troncoso Morales, president of the Foundation and member of the Pan-American Confederation of Schools of Hotel Management, Gastronomy and Tourism (CONPEHT); Luis Marino López, general coordinator and owner of the Adrián Tropical restaurants; Juan Febles, commercial coordinator and president of the Dominican School of Food and Beverages, A&B Masters.

Goals
The main objectives of the Dominican Flavors Foundation, this list being purely illustrative but not exhaustive, are to name:
• To identify, define, value and promote Dominican gastronomy as a remarkable feature of identity and tourist attraction for its full knowledge and fair appreciation in our society and our diaspora.
• To promote in a viable and effective manner the research, analysis, recognition, education, creativity and national and international exposure of Dominican cuisine.
• To motivate Dominican citizens to strengthen their cultural identity through the appreciation of their food and to see gastronomy as a source of well-being, with a strategic sense of food and human nutrition.
• To promote the training of people interested in Dominican gastronomy based on anthropological and cultural foundations in order to validate the current reality and generate transcendence.
• To make social, cultural and academic contributions to the national community, promoting Dominican gastronomy from a strategic context and oriented towards the common good of society.
• To have active participation and initiative in the promulgation of governmental activities related to Dominican gastronomy and food issues.
• To promote Dominican cuisine to international visitors and forums using the originality, fusion, flavor and diversity of Dominican gastronomy as motivating elements.
• Creation, promotion and dissemination of measures that contribute to the conservation of our gastronomic heritage.
• To promote the conservation, preservation and dissemination of Dominican gastronomy as a means of expressing national identity and developing culture and education.
• To promote sustained and dynamic growth in gastronomy and food-related issues in the country.
• To promote processes that strengthen the development and marketing of Dominican gastronomy through coordination and alliance with the various actors involved in these processes.
